The same applies for banana buttons: you never know where you will go when you click on them. Still, putting a banana button on your site does generate clicks. I have put one on my Blogger blog ‘Roho’s Diary’ and I have set a goal on the click of that button in Google Analytics.

Although, it’s not a high volume site there are quite a few clicks on the button.
In the article I have linked to a study that also has the same conclusion. For some weird reason people just click on a button with a banana on it without knowing where that will take them.
A clever and not too simply scared Internet marketeer will put a banana button on his site. Or at the very least experiment with it. Otherwise one could just call him yellow or chicken.
